Company
ODS is an independent corporation, headquartered in Portland , Oregon , that provides a full range of medical and dental plans for employers and individuals. Founded in 1955, the company is one of the oldest dental insurers in the nation and a fast growing medical insurer. ODS currently serves over 800,000 members with dental or medical health plans.
In 2004, ODS opened its first out of state office in Alaska . ODS began in Alaska by administering dental programs for Delta Dental Insurance Company. Today, ODS Alaska offers medical products in addition to Delta Dental plans, and other insurance services through its subsidiaries to employers and individuals in Alaska.Statistics

Products
ODS offers medical and Delta Dental plan options to employers and individuals. Employers can choose from a wide variety of plans with an exceptional range of options.
Subsidiaries
- BenefitHelp Solutions is a third-party administrator that provides employers with benefit outsourcing options. BenefitHelp Solutions handles Flexible Spending Account, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, COBRA continuation and retirement premium administration, and consolidated group billing.
- DMC develops, markets and supports integrated practice management software systems for dental offices. DMC software allows each dental office a high-speed link to online eligibility and benefit information as well as claims billing.
- Dentists Benefits Insurance Company (DBIC) is a property and casualty insurance company focused on serving the needs of dentists. It is the leading dental malpractice insurer. Its affiliate, Dentists Benefits Corporation (DBC), is an insurance agency that sells DBIC products and many other specialized policies.
