ODS Select - for medical services in Alaska, Oregon and southwest Washington
Healthy Directions - for medical services outside Alaska, Oregon and southwest Washington More details
For medical services received in Alaska, the ODS Select network is a hospital-based network. That means in ODS medical plans which offer "in" and "out" of network benefits (like our PPO and HSA programs), members will receive the highest level of coverage when they seek hospital services from a participating ODS Select network hospital.
Covered medical services received outside of the hospital will be paid at the in-network benefit level for any eligible Alaska provider, regardless of the provider's participation status on the ODS Select network. We encourage Alaska members to receive services from providers who are participating in the ODS Select network as they may benefit from ODS' contracted rates with these providers and realize additional out-of pocket-savings.
The ODS Select network also offers comprehensive access to medical facilities and providers in both Oregon and southwest Washington. When ODS Alaska members seek non-emergent medical services in Oregon and southwest Washington, they must utilize participating ODS Select providers and facilities to receive in-network benefits.
When seeking medical services outside Alaska, Oregon and southwest WashingtonODS offers a comprehensive national network for ODS Alaska members who seek non-emergent medical services outside of Alaska, Oregon and southwest Washington. For all services received outside these states, a member must utilize participating Healthy Directions providers and facilities to receive in-network benefits.
